I can't help but think this was just an unlucky event that is likely to happen from time to time in the restaurant business. I would imagine Duke's would be very apologetic for the situation and try to to offer some kind of compensation. However, many of my friends and I eat at Duke's on a regular basis and enjoy the great food and atmosphere. Duke's is one of the few affordable restaurants on the beach with live music in Waikiki and I would hate to see them shut down. While I understand your position, I will not remove them from the list. On 6/27/09 my husband bit into a large chunk of glass while taking a bite of my daughters cheese pizza at dukes. We are seeking to ward off others from getting hurt or even disappointed. We have doctors bills resulting in the incident and my husband still has pain in his teeth. The cooks were not careful and if my little girl would of bit into that i would of tried to have them shut down. I would greatly appreciate it if you consider my request.
